You can transition through divorce on your own…..but you don’t have to.

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

I work with individuals in one of the most difficult times of their lives. Helping them to understand the business side of divorce and thrive through the emotional side of divorce.

Is divorce the right choice for you and your family? What other options are out there, that you don’t even know about?

I help you to think through different options.

When do you need to hire other professionals? When do you need to interview or hire a lawyer? Mediation? Collaboration? Litigation? What is the best option for you and your family?

When you meet with a lawyer you will have a clear picture of where you are right now and where you want to be in the future. You will be prepared, with a plan and a list of intelligent questions. When you are prepared and organized you will help your lawyer to ensure a fair outcome that aligns with your best interests and the laws where you reside.

I help you to think through all of the people that you may need on your team. You may need to talk to a real estate agent, your children’s guidance counsellor, an insurance agent, mortgage broker, bank manager, financial planner, estate planner, therapist, friends and family, your children, your boss, your partner. With someone in your corner, guiding you to think through these difficult conversations you will gain the confidence to keep moving forward.

I am your Coach & Thinking Partner

When a person is overwhelmed with emotions, thinking clearly is almost impossible. I am here to think through all the details and options with you and help you to create the future that is best for you.

If you are thinking that divorce is the only option for you right now, how do you have that conversation with your partner? Is your partner even aware of

how you are feeling? Is counselling an option? Is it safe to talk to them?

How do you talk to them about your children? Can you both sit down with your children together? Is it possible to create a parenting plan that works for both of you? Is your partner extremely difficult and you feel like you are doing this all on your own? Would you give anything to know that your kids are going to be okay?

Working with a divorce coach who is on your side and in your corner can help you to be in a better emotional state and able to handle the many challenges that will arise. You can be better prepared for the many difficult conversations ahead.

Have you thought about how much money you will need to live on your own? Have you created a budget? Have you contacted a financial planner? Let’s think through this together.

Remember; I'm your coach and thinking partner.

I'm here to listen to you, work with you, guide you in a nonjudgmental way, where you don't need to feel shame, blame, guilt, or embarrassment.

I want you to feel comfortable to share your silenced dreams, your wildest hopes, your biggest failures and know how strong and capable you are. You can work through anything if you just give yourself an opportunity to think things through. Sometimes we just need someone to talk with, to help sort out the mess that is in our own minds. One step at a time is how everything happens. The light will start to shine again.

One step at a time you will begin to feel that you are going to be OK. Your children are going to be OK. Your family is going to be OK.

You will gain the knowledge and the skills to move forward through this transition in your life. You will gain the confidence to know that you are making the best choices for your family right now.

There is so much involved in the transition of divorce, and you don’t need to do it alone.

I know that if I worked with someone, like myself, to help me think through the millions of thoughts that were running through my mind I would have felt better about myself during the process. I would have been more prepared for lawyer meetings. I would have hired a financial expert much sooner. I would have learned other options that I did not even know existed.

You can transition through divorce on your own….but you don’t have to.

Love, Wendy
